I’m sure many of you have fond memories of A- frame tents (at least, I do.) However, times are constantly changing, and technology is continuously improving. I’m sad to announce that the time for this style of tents has come to an end. Though you’ll still be able to find these A- frame tents for many years to come, you’re better off choosing any other modern design.

The A- frame tents might have served its purpose for countless years, but we now have a lot more composite materials and fabrics to choose from. Hammering down pegs, once considered a normal thing on camping trips has now become a nearly obsolete practice. Modern dome tents can virtually assemble themselves in just a few seconds. Furthermore, they’re also easier to pack and are lighter to carry around.

Though you may want to keep your memories of the good times you’ve spent in those old style "A- frame tents", I’m sure you won’t miss the hassle of setting up and staking down those tents. With a modern tent design you can spend more time trekking around and enjoying the scenery, knowing that when the time comes to set up camp, you’ll be able to do so nearly instantly. Considering how affordable these new tents are, there’s no reason for you to keep up using that old traditional tent. Just like many other things from the past, it’s time to let it go.
